What to include in a cleaning estimate

How to price the estimate

Start from what the job costs you: your cleaner’s time, supplies, overhead and profit. The house cleaning price calculator turns those into a flat price for common home sizes, and the profit calculator shows what your prices do to your monthly profit.

FAQ

Cleaning estimate questions

Is this cleaning estimate template free?

Yes. Fill it in, then print it or save it as a PDF, as often as you like. There is no sign-up, and what you type stays in your browser.

Can I use it as a cleaning quote template?

Yes. Set "Call it" to Quote and the document is titled Quote instead of Estimate. Everything else works the same.

What is the difference between an estimate and a quote?

An estimate is your best price for the job and can change if the job turns out bigger than described. A quote is a fixed price. Many cleaning businesses send an estimate first and confirm a fixed price after a walkthrough or the first clean.

How long should a cleaning estimate be valid?

Thirty days is a common choice: long enough for the client to decide, short enough that your prices are still current. Put the date on the estimate so there is no doubt.

How do I send the estimate?

Click "Print or save as PDF", choose "Save as PDF", then attach the file to an email or a text. The signature line lets the client accept it in writing.
