15 features compared · 4 public sources
ZenMaid pricing has three plans, and each is a base price plus a monthly fee for every cleaner and office manager. Starter is $19/mo plus $4 per person, Pro is $39/mo plus $14 per person, and Pro Max is $49/mo plus $24 per person. The owner is included in the base price. Starter is limited to 40 appointments a month, and texts (SMS) cost extra on every plan, in bundles from $14 for 125 messages. For a team of 5 cleaners that is $39, $109 or $169 a month before texts.
The formula is: base price + (number of cleaners and office managers × the plan’s per-person fee). Every ZenMaid number on this page comes from ZenMaid’s own pricing page, its team-size calculator and its help center, checked on October 5, 2026 and linked under Sources. Prices are in USD. ZenMaid is a good product built only for maid services. We make BroomBook, which is also built only for residential cleaning, so we are biased: we show how our flat price compares at the end, and we say plainly when ZenMaid is the better pick.

What does each ZenMaid plan include?
Starter ($19/mo plus $4 per cleaner or office manager) is for new cleaning businesses. It covers up to 40 appointments a month, scheduling with calendar, dispatch and map views, a limited set of automated text and email templates for cleaners and clients, the mobile app without cleaner GPS tracking, a cleaner SOS alert, online payments through Stripe or Square with invoicing, and chat-only support.
Pro ($39/mo plus $14 per person) removes the appointment limit and adds digital checklists, cleaner GPS tracking in the mobile app, booking forms for your website (with ZenMaid branding), more automated text and email templates, reports, payroll and Spotfinder, a tool for fitting new recurring clients into the schedule. The pricing page lists a QuickBooks integration on Pro as coming soon. Pro also comes with a free one-to-one optimization call and a free transfer of your contacts and calendar.
Pro Max ($49/mo plus $24 per person) adds cleaner availability and paid time off (PTO) tracking, service ratings from your clients, every automated text and email template, data export, Mailchimp and Zapier integrations, booking forms with your own branding, and priority support.
ZenMaid’s pricing page lists no AI features on any plan. Every plan is month to month with no signature, and you can cancel from your account settings.
What costs extra on ZenMaid?
Each cleaner and office manager. ZenMaid’s help center says only the owner profile is included in the base price. Office managers and cleaners, employees or contractors, cost $4, $14 or $24 a month each depending on the plan, and only active roles are charged. The calculator on the pricing page goes up to 20 people; above that it shows the formula instead of a total.
Text messages. Every plan on the pricing page says SMS charges are not included. The help center lists SMS bundles from $14 for 125 messages, with discounts for higher usage, charged as you use them rather than on your billing date. An example, with assumptions labelled: 60 visits a month, each sending a confirmation and a day-before reminder, is 60 × 2 = 120 texts, or about one $14 bundle a month. Your count depends on which texts you turn on.
Card processing. ZenMaid connects to Stripe or Square for card payments and says it adds no fees on top of what Stripe or Square charge. You pay the processor’s rate, which ZenMaid does not publish, so check Stripe’s or Square’s pricing for your country.
Starter’s appointment cap. Once you reach 40 appointments in a month on Starter, you cannot add more until the next month unless you upgrade to Pro or Pro Max. 40 a month is about 9 a week (40 × 12 ÷ 52 = 9.2).
Annual billing. ZenMaid’s help center says annual plans are available on request, without a published price. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period.
What ZenMaid costs a cleaning business at 1, 5, 10 and 20 team members
Assumptions: the number is how many cleaners and office managers you enter in ZenMaid’s calculator, with the owner covered by the base price; prices from the pricing page on October 5, 2026, in USD, month to month, before texts, card fees and sales tax. An owner who works alone pays the base price: $19, $39 or $49 a month.
1 team member: Starter $19 + $4 = $23/mo, Pro $39 + $14 = $53/mo, Pro Max $49 + $24 = $73/mo. A year of Pro is $53 × 12 = $636.
5 team members: Starter $19 + (5 × $4) = $39/mo, Pro $39 + (5 × $14) = $109/mo, Pro Max $49 + (5 × $24) = $169/mo. A year of Pro is $109 × 12 = $1,308. Starter’s 40 appointments a month works out to 8 per cleaner, so most teams this size need Pro.
10 team members: Starter $19 + (10 × $4) = $59/mo, Pro $39 + (10 × $14) = $179/mo, Pro Max $49 + (10 × $24) = $289/mo. A year of Pro is $179 × 12 = $2,148.
20 team members: Starter $19 + (20 × $4) = $99/mo, Pro $39 + (20 × $14) = $319/mo, Pro Max $49 + (20 × $24) = $529/mo. A year of Pro is $319 × 12 = $3,828, and a year of Pro Max is $529 × 12 = $6,348.
Is ZenMaid worth it for a cleaning business?
For many maid services, yes. ZenMaid is built only for residential cleaning, its pricing page is easy to read, there is no contract, and the ZenMaid team offers to import your client list for free. For an owner who works alone or with one helper and books fewer than 40 cleans a month, Starter at $19 to $23 a month is the lowest price of the cleaning tools we have priced.
The cost to watch is growth. Checklists, payroll and website booking forms start on Pro, and Pro adds $14 a month for each cleaner, so the bill grows with every hire: $53 a month with 1 team member, $109 with 5, $179 with 10 and $319 with 20, plus texts. Use the 14-day trial to run your real recurring clients through it, and price it at the team you expect to have in a year.
How BroomBook’s flat price compares at the same team sizes
BroomBook costs $29/mo for up to 2 cleaners (Solo) or $59/mo for unlimited cleaners (Team). Checklists, the booking page, payroll export, texts and emails, and AI are on both plans, with no per-cleaner fee. Compared with ZenMaid Pro, month to month:
1 team member: BroomBook Solo $29/mo vs Pro $53/mo, $24/mo or $288 a year less. ZenMaid Starter, at $23/mo, costs $6/mo less than Solo if 40 appointments a month and no checklists are enough. 5 team members: BroomBook Team $59/mo vs Pro $109/mo, a difference of $50/mo or $600 a year. 10 team members: $59/mo vs $179/mo, a difference of $120/mo or $1,440 a year. 20 team members: $59/mo vs $319/mo, a difference of $260/mo or $3,120 a year.
On card payments, both work the same way: BroomBook charges cards through Stripe, you pay Stripe’s fee and BroomBook takes no cut. BroomBook has no cleaner GPS tracking, no Mailchimp or Zapier integration, no QuickBooks sync and no app-store app, and it charges cards after the job instead of sending invoices. If you need those, ZenMaid covers more of them than we do.
When ZenMaid is the better pick than BroomBook
No tool is right for everyone. Pick them instead of us if:
- You work alone or with one helper, book fewer than 40 cleans a month and do not need checklists: ZenMaid Starter at $19 to $23 a month costs less than BroomBook Solo at $29.
- You want to see where your cleaners are during the day: ZenMaid Pro and Pro Max include cleaner GPS tracking in the mobile app.
- You use Mailchimp or Zapier and want your scheduling connected to them: that is on ZenMaid Pro Max.
- You send invoices to clients: ZenMaid includes invoicing on every plan. BroomBook charges a card after each clean and sends a receipt instead.
- You would like ZenMaid’s team to move your contacts and calendar for you: Pro and Pro Max include a free one-to-one transfer.
Our take
ZenMaid’s pricing is simple: a base price, a fee for each cleaner and office manager, and texts on top. It is cheapest when you are small, and on Pro, the plan most teams need for checklists, payroll and booking forms, it grows by $14 a month with every person you add.
If you plan to hire, price both at the team you expect next year. BroomBook stays at $59/mo whether you have 3 cleaners or 30, with texts included. Try it free for 14 days with no credit card, book a test clean on your own booking page, and compare.
